Our story

Who are we

Howdy! We’re Bürgernutzen, your friendly neighborhood anarcho-goofballs. When we aren’t discussing The People’s liberation, we love making music. We also love nature, cooking, and long walks on the graves of our enemies (i.e. cops & landlords)

What does our name mean

The German translation of Burgernutzen is something along the lines of “citizen benefit”. In the final chapter of Peter Kropotkin’s groundbreaking book Mutual Aid, the old anarchist describes the cow that German communities would share so that everyone was able to have some butter. We believe that all our neighbors deserve to have everything they need, including housing, medicine, and butter!
